Based in Iga, Mie, Lily Okamoto explores the curation of Ma (間), the relational space between the viewer and the artwork through abstract painting and writing.
Her practice, spanning exhibitions and artist books, contemplates inner and ecological landscapes shaped by her continued movement between rural and urban environments. After six years working in product development across several startups, Okamoto broadened her artistic trajectory throughout Mie, the Kansai region, and Europe, with a particular focus on France.
